Beetles

Medicinal Chemistry is really driving me crazy. Terms like Gauche conformation, anti-conformation, enantiomers, meso compounds, etc are all stuck somewhere underneath layers of brain cells, making it so hard for me to retrieve them. And there is no point in retrieving them, when the file size is like 1kb? LOL.

Today's lab was hard to concentrate on, but I managed to finish drawing all my compounds and finding their energies. We tried Stoichastic search, and guess what? I had only 7 results, Seoh Thin had 11, Sok Hiang had 39! Is this some sort of a hint that I shouldn't do FYP, since results won't be fruitful? Haha. Anyway, the three of us were the first to leave the class. So cool, huh?

I took the 197 route home today. I met Chee Hoe at the bus stop. Although I haven't seen him for so long, I managed to keep the conversation going. And I found out one thing about Medicine which I always had a misconception of. Haha. Now I no longer envy doctors-to-be. =P

I'm busy trying to fix the music player of my blog... Somehow Fileden didn't allow me to upload new files and files added recently couldn't be played. I had no choice but to sign up for an account with Boxstr and upload the songs again. Hmm. But I prefer Fileden...

I'm still up because school starts late tomorrow. From 4 pm to 6 pm (cringe). I have to compete for space on trains and buses again. And my mum is smart. Upon knowing that school starts late, she immediately arranged for some grocery shopping in the morning. Oh well. I was contemplating reading through Pathology for tutorial on Thursday!

Know what? I was bathing earlier on when I heard a buzzing sound pass by my ear. I don't know why, but nowadays beetles come into my house every night. I was worried that another beetle came into the bathroom, so I checked my hair and surroundings - there was nothing! I heaved a sigh of relief and continued bathing. Moments later, just as I was rinsing my hair one last time, I felt the beetle in my hair! Ew! I took the shower head and tried to wash the beetle out of my hair, and in a frenzy, I kept fumbling through my hair. My hair was in a mess and I couldn't feel the beetle anymore. Desperate, I shouted for my mum. She refused to come until I told her the reason (she was on the computer) and when she finally came, I managed to feel the beetle again and pulled it out of my hair. I screamed at the sight of the beetle (usually I don't scream when I am alone) and washed it into the drainage hole.

Boy, do I hate beetles. And just as I am typing, there's another one flying around. Why do they like my house so much?! It took me 8 minutes to locate it and kill it. What a waste of my time!
