Shucks Shucks Shucks

Oh shucks.

I've been sitting, technically not moving at all since 8.30 am in the morning. I seriously wonder why they need helpers... It's not even July yet! And I don't want July to come.

I've totally lost interest in Chinese songs. This is real bad of me, huh? To think I've been on it for so long, only to find myself giving it up subconsciously. I've always been able to hook up with the latest Chinese hits and yet because of Lee Seung Gi, I have lost touch... I don't know what's hot and what's not anymore. My songs are all so "outdated". And now I'm not even making much progress with Korean songs. I'm just listening to smooth melody without understanding the real meaning behind the lyrics and this makes me feel so "basic".

Argh, what am I saying? I'm trying to say that with the standard of my Mandarin, at least I can pronounce Chinese characters correctly when I try to sing along and understand the underlying meaning of the lyrics, rather than at the surface level. That's almost exactly like the satisfaction I get when I read Chinese poetry and derive my own understanding of the lines, rather than just understanding the explanation provided.

So, I'm trying to say, I desperately need to learn Korean, and attain such a level that not only am I able to converse to get what I want, but also to write Hangul, read Hangul and understanding written Hangul. I want to be able to watch and understand Korean shows without subtitles in Chinese or English. I want to sing Korean songs with the correct pronunciation as from the Hangul lyrics, not derived by myself from romanized lyrics. And finally, I want to be able to appreciate Korean poetry or classics (or whatever) just like how I did for Chinese poetry. I also want to be able to translate Hangul to Chinese and Hangul to English and vice versa for both. Do you feel it? I want to comprehend the Korean language totally... My interest in Korean is not because of dramas or pop songs. It's a desire in me to want to be proficient in Korean.

Anyway, I don't blame Lee Seung Gi for making me lose my attention on Chinese pop songs. Seriously, I think I should update myself on the latest trend now. But then again, I don't see any artists releasing new albums. The albums that are on sale now are basically from new singers and I don't have much energy to learn more about them.

And now, I don't know what is wrong with me. I suddenly just want to watch Youtube everyday and I don't feel like watching dramas now. I'm not even enticed to watch Zettai Kareshi episode 7. I don't even bother to watch The Legend (Tae Wang Sa Shin Gi). What's wrong with me?

Shucks. I need help.
