I Hate My Job

I am sorry for using my favourite blog as a place to vent my frustrations but if I don't do so, I will go crazy.

This is damn infuriating la. I’m not posting it on my Live Spaces for security reasons. But ****!!! I hate the MGR of my unit.

GC has 70++ files under her name, but when I was told to make a list of the files, I found that 30+ were missing. And her requests were never complete. Keeps changing the template of the list. NEXT TIME IF YOU WANT SOMETHING, THINK PROPERLY BEFORE YOU REQUEST LA!!!!

And so I kept changing the template and had to go through all the files once again to look for the extra information she wants. And what happens after that? I reported to her which files were missing and she was like, “Why are the files missing?” Like the hell I would know?! And when she remembered seeing some files in Jono’s drawer, she asked if those were the missing files. I said no. She was like, “Who do they belong to then?” I told her I forgot, but I was super sure it wasn’t hers. She pressed me again for the answer, so I said I would go check.

I checked it, and it was some person whose designation was AMGR and of the unit SP. I told her the answer, and she was like, who is that person? How again the HELL who I know? She started losing her patience la.

And then she took the files and asked me if there were more of such files. I replied yes and she was like, where are the files? Return them!

And so I dug out the files and checked out who they belonged to. 2 belonged to one of our unit member and another was some HRE person of SP again. She told me to take it to the level ‘cos she just returned from there.

I had to look at her with intent eyes while she gave instructions. WTH. I am now fuming mad! But work life is so. You have to act as though you are fine with anything and then swear inside your brain.

Anyway, I finally had a chance to swear when I got into the empty lift. But that wasn’t enough to appease my anger. I really want to climb up some hill or mountain and then shout it all out.

I had to complain to Sok Hiang and she taught me how to check out the name of people with information on their designations and unit. Ok, so I learnt something. I was starting to like my job a tweeny weeny bit and now I hate it like shit.

And here, I shall admit my fault in not taking the initiative to tell her that some files found do not belong to her and that I again had not taken the initiative to check out who they belonged to. But DAMN IT!!!

And now I am pretending as if nothing has happened and laugh along with my colleague... Anyway, I guess I have to credit Lesley for helping me find 2 files which I left out earlier on in the search.

ARGH!
