I'm Becoming Lazy
You might think: "LOL. It's a well known fact that she has been lazy all her life."
No.... I've made tremendous improvements.
I used to think myself as someone who would become a very good service provider, someone like, a professional sales assistant or whatever. I know how to serve people, I know how to provide first-class and customer-based service.
But today, as I went shopping with my mother, to get a wrist support for my sister's injured wrist (duhz), a saleswoman approached us and asked what we wanted.
We wanted th try on the various sizes and types of wrist supports found on the rack, but she said she knew nothing about it and said that we could refer our needs to the pharmarcists.
She then walked towards the counter where the pharmacists were, but stopped halfway and looked back at us. I was following her. She had this look on her face... That wanted ME to go up to the pharmacists and ask for assistance.
On the other hand, I was waiting expectantly for her to do just that. So the both of us just ended up stopping in our tracks. My mum looked at her, then looked at me.
I was TRULY lazy to go up to the pharmacists. I didn't want to ask for help. It would make me feel so stupid. And they wouldn't understand what I want (although it is clearly stated on the various packagings "Wrist Support").
Guess what I did?
I faced the saleswoman, and said (really LOUD): "Huh?! You want me to ask the pharmacists myself ah?"
Well, I SINCERELY DID NOT DIRECT THE ABOVE SENTENCE AT THE SALESWOMAN. I directed it at my mum.
I can swear on my grandfather's grave.
The saleswoman comprehended my words wrongly and thought that it was me wanting her to ask for assistance for my sake.
Therefore she did so.
I was so.....
exhilarated.
I never knew that such an innocent remark can do wonders.
I've decided. I shall be lazy, so that sales workers can have more practice on providing customers with heart-warming service. I'm being helpful, ok?
