Funny Thinking
It's so strange that everyone is thinking the same idea.
Nah, not me. I think differently.
They all have the same perception that the only way to pass the Promotional Exam (a.k.a. promos) is to mug very hard for every single subject. And the way to go about mugging it? Sleep at 10 p.m. and then wake up at 4 a.m. to study.
Ok ok, that's is just the general rule. Not everyone does that.
I was SMS-ing Ann when she told me that she is going to sleep because "need to wake up early tomorrow to study..."
Then Jesmine teaches me how she studies: "I reach home I'll sleep at 7 p.m., then wake up at 1 a.m. to study" because when she reaches home she will be damn tired ( like me ) and won't feel like doing anything.
And this is how Farmer Liu, the cheena guy studies: He just mugs during every single opportunity he has, then refuses to do the Biology homework that Mr. Azahar has set for us. Then Mr. Azahar will be damn angry at him and then Farmer Liu will just get away with it bu smiling damn-fake-innocently.
Hello, I hate it when guys do that to people. It's just not manly enough. It's gay-ish.
Oh ya, the general method where people sleep from 10 p.m. and wakes up at 4 a.m. to study belongs to our dear Mary Christina Stanislaws.
I'm not being sarcastic, I'm just listing down how other people study.
Esther believes in mugging and mugging only, in front of the computer with the MSN Messenger program running and SMs-ing on her handphone to Xiao Wei.
Alston believes and preaches about the inefficiency in mugging for exams but practises the otherwise.
Serene thinks that it helps by checking with Christy if she has studied already - If Christy says that she hasn't, she must be lying. By it definitely feels better to ask anyway.
Richard pretends that all he does in his life is to play computer games, but in actual fact he mugs at MacDonald's from 1 a.m. to 5 a.m. and sleeps in class.
Junius behaves as if he smoked through JC for the past 9 months and yet can get on the Honour Roll. In actual fact he is just another mugger from a neighbourhood secondary school, who thinks mugging is holy.
Watson can tell you and even smile at you, saying that he hasn't studied yet, not even one book, but in reality he is somewhere in a Bukit whatever branch of MacDonald's eating away his books.
Grace thinks that she is a slacker but she can study somehow, miraculously.
Danis and Lester both show-off that they have mugged. Um, I praise them for their honesty.
Aisha is always somewhere... Unknown to all. Thinks she mugs while Missing-In-Action.
Sourisha acts as if she knows nuts about JC subjects. But she mugs like hell, in the secrecy of her house.
Chee Hoe is the only one who mugs everyday, lets people know about it (because that's his life) and shows the fruits of mugging. Erm, his favourite treasure is the Campbell and Reece Biology reference book, the 6th edition.
I don't mug. At all. Ever since Sec 1, novody believed me. I was labelled (wrongly, by the way) at a mugger because I topped the level every single year. My schoolmates didn't believe me. My classmates doubted my words. My teachers told my friends that my way of studying is called mugging and it will fail me in the 'O' Levels.
I look at those poor kids in Popular Bookstores pondering over which TYS to buy because of the vast diversity. I feel like going over to tell them that everything's gonna be alright - 'O' Levels is just shit.
I know because I've gone through it without mugging at all. And I got pretty good grades that could lead me to anywhere.
Ok, I got BBBD for my Summer Test. Mr. Azahar said that we will die for Summer Test if we didn't utilise the full June Holidays to study for it. I believed him, but I did otherwise. Did I die? No, right? I studied last minute. And I mean it as a night before the examination day.
People ask me how I studied. I told them that it wouldn't work. That's because I bring the materials to the living room and switch on the TV and sit in front of the TV.
They don't believe me. Well, if you doubt me, don't bother to ask.
I'm not stupid la. If I were to lie (which I did not), I would have lied more convincingly, right? So I am telling the truth.
Hey guys, my method actually works. It trains you to concentrate despite the noise distractions. =)
