Steamboat Dinner!
Yay... Today I had steamboat for dinner. I knew I will have a bloated and uncomfortable feeling in my stomach whenever I have steamboat but I just can't resist having steamboat - It's been a year since I last had steamboat!
Yeah... My family rarely has steamboat unless it's Chinese New Year. We bought lots of ingredients... Like, some crystal ball, lobster ball, etc etc. Was so excited preparing for dinner that I didn't even tell Grace that I got to go. Haha.
I can never forget last year's steamboat... My dad bought this kind of steamboat equipment where you can grill at the sides and have the soup in the middle... Then he bought this stir fry mutton satay... Then he grilled it... Wow... From then on, I totally changed my view on mutton. The grilled mutton he made last year was terrific.
And this year he bought another equipment. (Ok, I know equipment sounds weird but what other noun can I use?) It's the kind which you can have 2 different kinds of soup base in one pot. So this year we had Tom-Yam soup and Seafood soup. Wow.
Then there was this seafood fish cake with cheese filling. No, it's NOT gross. It's actually great. It revoked my love for cheese... When I start work tomorrow, I'll make sure I'll buy cheese from Fairprice. Now I feel more ready for work. Haha.
As usual, I ate a lot and then the feeling of bloated-ness came back. I couldn't even drink water! This year was the worst I guess. And the smell of prawns almost made me vomit. But I have to say that the prawns were sweet. Yes! For once I felt that prawns were sweet.
What an enjoyment I had tonight!
And I was so full that I refused a second round for supper. Haha. I only ate more cheese-filled seafood fish cake. Yummy cheese! Hee hee.
And the 2 fishcake stars look so cute!! =)
