Darn it la.
After all my complaining after I started working at NTUC Fairprice, who would want to work with me?
Practically no one! That was what I was thinking when the Chief Cashier, Esther asked me if I had any friends who wanted to be cashiers as well.
Today damned things happened again. I don't know why but everyday as I try to put on a fresh new look on my cashiering job bad things happened that depress me and make me feel dejected.
I had diarrhoea for 2 days. You know how damn painful that is? So I was on MC for 2 days. Didn't report for work on the 26th and 27th of December. Then what happened? Esther called me last night and I confirmed that I would be reporting for work. BUT I SWEAR SHE DIDN'T TELL ME THAT SHE WANTED ME ON WORK AT 9 AM!!! So I was happily on the bus at 9.15 am this morning and she called again.
"Christy ah, do you know that you have to come for work today?" "Uh-huh. 10 AM what." "WHO TOLD YOU TEN AM??? I TOLD YOU TO COME AT 9 AM!!! I'M SHORT-HANDED HERE!" I rolled my eyes and started swearing quietly. "On my last day of work, which is Saturday, the roster said 10 am. So I was planning to report at 10." "I DON'T CARE! COME RIGHT NOW." "I'm on the bus...."
Then she FREAKING HUNG UP ON ME.
WTF???? She just told me she was short-handed last night. And so I rushed down... So what? I reported at 9 plus when I could have slacked for another half an hour. And I wasn't paid for that half an hour. THEN WHAT IS THE BLOODY POINT OF HAVING A THUMBPRINT MACHINE THAT RECORDS THE TIME AT WHICH YOU REPORT?
And the sickening thing is, when I reached there, there were NO CUSTOMERS at all!!!!
I HATE THIS JOB. How I wish I would be fired and how I wish I had the courage to quit but I don't dare to. Lindawah got fired today. Or she quit. I don't know. I just know that Esther didn't like her very much and Linda didn't care if she had the job or not.
AND I DON'T CARE IF I HAVE THIS JOB OR NOT. NOT LIKE I AM SO BROKE ANYWAY.
I want to give up. But there are so many factors to consider! I really need to talk to someone.
