Wow.. Haven't blogged for quite some time. Just didn't realise that it has been almost a month.
Today I went for orientation. I had several things to talk about... But now something is bugging me so much that I don't know what to do.
Ok. Orientation. It started at 1.30 pm. Late right? I didn't bring my camping stuff. 'Cos I couldn't stay overnight... Yeah... So we started off memorising names of our OG members. OGLs were Raymond and Ronald. Ronald's a nice guy. Not very talkative, but helpful. Haha. I troubled him for quite a while 'cos I wasn't staying overnight.
So we gave our OG the name Carebears. LOL. Sounds stupid right? But heck care... LOL. Yeah so we were supposed to give it a cheer. Javin came up with a stupid but funny one. The first sentence is in Hokkien. LOL.
Wa lang si Carebear,
Wa lang si Carebear.
Carebears, carebears, care and share.
Carebears, STARE!!! (Then you move your tummy forwards... To imitate carebears showing off some rainbow radiating off their tummies. LOL.)
But no one moved their tummies forward, of course.
Played some treasure hunt. Kinda boring. Couldn't remember some of the tasks at the stations. First station was at AS7. We were supposed to do a chain of events within 100 seconds without NG. Somehow during trial everything was fine. Very smoothly done. Then during the actual timing, time was held up at my turn to pass the hula hoop.
Another station was the multi purpose sports hall. Supposed to dig out a colour of M&M's from a plate of flour similar to your partner. Then use your mouth to scoop out a cup of water (hold cup in mouth) from a bucket of water and pour the water into a bottle (and fill half of it) with the cup in your mouth always. LOL. Raymond was like clapping 'cos most of the water in my cup fell into the bottle. LOL.
One station was there was a face printed on a piece of paper. Then form a line. One end of the line shall smear the face with some green dye used by soldiers and then pass it down the line. The last person in the line would then use what's on her/his face to paint the portrait. I was the last person. And they reversed the order when it came to the second colour. Guess what they used??? Tomato ketchup!!! I think Mary will scream. LOL. Anyway, my face smelled of ketchup. They were like, rolling down onto my neck?? LOL.
The place was at Prince George's Park Residences. Man, it's so beautiful that it looks like a condo!!! I was like so mesmerised. PGPR, they call it. I wish I had applied to stay at PGPR. Haha.
One station was at some School of Design and Environment I think. They had welcome tea for freshmen!!! They were happily eating their buffet spread while we were trying to get past those stations. Darn. LOL. Nothing much happened there. Just cross through some spider web made of raffia string.
Last station was at Kent Vale. It was some residence too. They have this store selling toiletries called Kent Vale Minimart or something like that. That block has the name Geranium. I think someone must be so crazy over Ge to give it such a name.
That station was disgusting. Haha. 5 plastic cups attached by a string, containing some soil and mealworms. Yes, MEALWORMS!!! So all you have to do is to pass each cup through one sleeve of your t-shirt and pass it out through the other sleeve. Easy, but luckily it didn't spill. LOL.
We were supposed to have one more station but were almost running late for dinner. So we gave up that last station and went straight for dinner. I was so hungry I ate the whole thing (although I wouldn't have eaten it if I could). Gary couldn't eat it. He said he didn't feel like eating whenever he goes for camps. Wow. If I were like him... Haha.
Then we went to LT 20. It was already 8pm. I had to leave. But they wouldn't let me and wanted me to go for some night walk before going home. Haha. So I walked it (it took 30 mins, instead of then 10 they promised) with some guy whose name I can't remember. LOL. Yeah, they paired us up. But this partner of mine gave fantastic instructions.
Ok.. I'll finish it tomorrow? But the stupid thing is, the quota available for the module I bidded for was only 20 and yet number of bidders is like, 54??? And I only have 400 points! How to get it??? If I don't get a module I'll just have to die.
And if I give up my SS, I'll like to take German or Bahasa Indonesia. Hmm. If I take German, I can join some German club and learn from them. Bahasa Indonesia has less bidders than the quota but of what use is it? And other modules clash like hell. Should I hold on to my SS, or change?
Argh, this is so frustrating.
