Ridiculous
This is just so so so so so so so so so ridiculous.
I'm going to post something that appeared in the news today.
There is this woman who tried to claim $3500 from her divorced husband as alimony and $2000 for the kid given to her.
However, the judge thought that it was absurd and thus ordered the husband to give her ONE BUCK as alimony and $1200 for her child.
Why???
That's because the husband earns A LOT LESSER than she does. After deducting proceeds to CPF, he has only $3815 left. She, on the other hand, earns about $8000. Yeah, $8000, not $800. No typo error. Therefore she is deemed fit to support herself VERY comfortably. The one dollar is contributed as a surface effort by the husband to support the wife.
If the judge gives her what she wants, it'll total up to about $5500. That's way more that what he makes. Therefore, for the whole month, he'll eat nothing but air and still have to borrow money to give her alimony.
I mean, the judge is fair, but the lady is stupid.
Even if you hate your husband damn lot, and want him to suffer (financially or whatever, I don;t care), you still have to use your common sense! Asking for a sum that you know the judge will never approve of, and that he will never be able to fork out will only reflect the fact that you're brainless, an airhead, a greedy woman.
Think: You've got enough to spend, so much so that you can save up to $4000 if you are careful enough in your expenses (some poor souls out there earn only $800, but they still live by and can still save up and God please bless them). There IS NO NEED for you to get extra money. Be glad that you receive one dollar every month. If I were the judge I might just give you nothing, or at most 50 cents.
And, some poor souls in USA have to like, bargain 50 cents twice to save one dollar... You are having it off easy la!!!
What's more, why does your child have to spend like, $1200? It's like, $500 is a little more than enough... Not considering the amount that you earn monthly.
You are just plain greedy and stupid.
