A Very Tired Christy
I don't know why, I'm perpetually tired out everyday, especially during preceptorship (attachment).
Of course, in the past one month, many things have happened to me, but I am too tired to blog everyday. I told myself, I must blog in order to make learning at preceptorship meaningful, but I never did blog once throughout the 6 weeks I told myself to. Oh well. Guess you could sense how tired I am. I really wonder how Hui Min has the energy to blog during her attachment.
Yes, numerous things have happened, which I would have been happy to blog about, but now, I can't recall a thing. -_-"
Ok, let me blog about a recent event then. Haha. I gotta find back my love for blogging.
On Saturday (26/6/2010), I wanted to go to Malaysia with my mum and dad, but they decided not to go although they agreed to bring me to Malaysia on Friday night! That's because my 2 sisters didn't finish their holiday homework despite me nagging at them to do their work whenever I can remember (haha). Anyway, we decided to go to Sembawang Shopping Centre.
We took 962 to Sembawang MRT and I think the NTUC Foodfare there underwent a renovation... So my dad dragged my mum in and we had to follow. I looked at the Korean stall and knew that it was what I wanted for lunch. My parents bought Yong Tau Foo and I couldn't believe how miserly the amount was. My mum was like, "I didn't want it... Your dad lor." I brought my sister to the Korean stall and I had Bibimbap while my sister had Chicken Jiggae I think. Whatever. I thought of the Bibimbap I used to have for lunch during attachment to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) at Novena Square. It tasted much better there! But here is quite acceptable too. And the kimchi is ok too. My mum knew how hungry my dad was, so she told him to get a Char Kway Teow. The Char Kway Teow was good, just that it wouldn't be filling for any one of us if we were to only have that for a meal. I was craving for an Ice Kacang, and surprisingly, my mum allowed. Woots!
We then went to Challenger at Sembawang Shopping Centre and I bought another Wii Motion Plus. That one attachment costs $45 just like that! I really didn't want to buy it. But anyway, I've already bought it, and now 2 people can simultaneously play against each other on my Wii now.
I am not a member of Challenger, so the original price was $45. I asked the cashier if there was any promotions for the Wii Motion Plus, and she said no. She then asked me to become a member, which I think was unnecessary since I would rarely buy stuff from Challenger. Then someone poked my shoulder and a man suddenly stood beside me. I glanced at him and he said, "Charge it to my IC then." Then he read out his IC number really fast, then smiled at me and walked off. I was still in confusion before I realised that he was the guy paying before me and he gave the cashier his IC number because he is a member and I could enjoy the discounted member price. Wow. I saved $3 this way. Haha.
I persuaded my parents to take a walk around Sembawang Shopping Centre although it had very little variety. While walking around, I realised that we had walked around before, and it really was pathetic. Anyway, we saw a travel agency while going down the escalator and we went back to the level above by running up the escalator. So dumb! But it was something I hadn't done in ages (like since I was young) and it felt so fun! We saw a villa package in Bintan island and seriously, I was very tempted to go. I would have signed up if I had the money! But I know the financial situation my family has always been in, so I kinda had to abolish the thought. Anyway, I would be going to Sentosa this Sunday, so I guess it would make up! It's gonna be Family Day on Sunday! Whee!
There's also the Wet Play Park in Sembawang Shopping Centre, and I so have the urge to play in the water. But I was wearing white, so I couldn't go play in the water. Hmm. Speaking of playing in the water, I haven't played in water for... more than 5 years already? Haiz. If my little cousin was to come in the near future, I think I would want to bring him there to play! To me, he's quite a deprived kid, so I really want to shower him with all the love he doesn't have.
We took the shuttle bus back to Sembawang MRT and went to Sun Plaza's NTUC. I think it's my mum's favourite grocery store already. Haha. Anyway, I saw Mr Bean the soya milk drink stall and I bought a Mr Bean ice-cream. I started thinking about how I would have ice-cream with Yee Wen and Alvin after lunch during preceptorship. It felt so much like a preceptorship typical lunch cum snack. Haha. I really miss preceptorship. It's the first time I miss working life!
I ate a lot of food ever since holidays started. And I've been spending a lot of money. How am I gonna lose all these extra weight?
