But do remember to say thanks!
Nothing (aka, no links) here is finalised yet! I'm still trying them out.
Here is the place where I'll store my dramas. Till the time I buy my external hard disk. First drama up, is "The Winter Melon Story", a Hong Kong drama.
Links for each episode are provided, and currently they are being uploaded to Megaupload. For instructions on how to download from Megaupload, refer to
"faq".
Anything you want to display here. Banners, buttons...? Etc.
I've started writing, so why don't you start reading?

Engineering Fiesta Day 1
Today I sort of enjoyed myself. That's mostly because my team members were friendly. As in, we do not seem to have any barriers or something like that. My group consisted of May Yi, Mei Ting, Kelvin, Kenneth (not Kenneth from S12) and me.
We were supposed to walk around the 11 booths on exhibition and absorb as much information as we could and then asnwer a MCQ quiz. We actually had fun collecting all the goodie bags and the brochures and asking stupid questions.
We were at a SIM (Singapore Institue of Management) booth where they showed us a micro-mouse that could move around a maze and then find the shortest route back to the end point. Cool, right? IT uses Infra-Red and hence we could only use white walls. And it recognizes the ending point because the end point has 4 cells.
Thta's all got to do something with programming.
Then we visited a booth by Ministry of Manpower (MOM). Erm, the guy was super friendly. Haha. He gave us some postcards regarding safety at work and etc. Then we were given a marker for us to draw on the walls, like, what we'll do to observe safety at work. Haha. We kept introducing Innova to them. This guy's colleague was like, Woodlands is near where I live... Where on earth is Innova? Beside Sports School? Oh... I thought it was still under construction?
Ok, guys, what does that mean?
Anyway, this guy saw that we were laden with goodie bags from NUS and NTU and IES and thus gave us this big OES bag from his booth. Oh man, he is so so so so so so damn nice a person la.
Then we visited a NTU booth where they had this new technology in which they can draw and write on a board and then the wordings get onto the screen. You can even change the font and colours like on Word. You can even do animations and create 3D graphics using it. Isn't it damn cool? Then our group drew a stone and then called it the IJ Stone. Lol. Lame sia. Then we signed our names on it. Gee. This technology actually helps modify your strokes to make them look smoother.
Then we went to this EDB booth where they showed us a clip on: Manufacturing, Singapore's best kept secret. They flashed the words and information so damn fast that we split the group up into 2: One group go to the booth and take photos (because we can't absorb so much information!!!) while the other (me, Kelvin and Meiting) go through the clip over and over again to pick up points we might have missed out.
Then we went to this Newater booth and took a damn lot of brochures. Lol. This Indian guy was very calm ans steady in his little Speech. Haha. And then he evern showed us the Marina Barracks thingy. And his colleague told us that a bus leaves for the Newater Plant at 3 pm everyday until Saturday (26/11/2005). Too bad that for these 3 days we can't go visit the plant because we'll be fully booked.
Then we went to this NUS booth. Erm, I yawned quite a lot - not because they were entirely boring, but that I didn't have enough sleep last night. But their souvenir was not bad.
Then we moved on to the ASTAR Research Institute where this friendly lady told us about what SIMtech does and etc. I learnt a lot about non-scratch irons and coloured and interestingly shaped water heaters and biomedical "fake cartilages" where they grow the tissue of our body while this whole thing is implanted in our body and over a long period of time, this thing wears off (biodegradable) while the tissues take over the cartilages' role. Whatever that breaks down is passed out as waste (shit).
Then we visited this NUS car. They entered in some competition in USA since 2001. some racing car. We didn't know what to ask, so we asked stupid questions la. But this NUS guy didn't want to tell us about it; maybe because he thought that we wouldn't understand anyway. Whatever we asked, he would say, "There are lots of laws governing this car... ..." Oh man, I was so bored that I wanted to sleep la.
Then we visited this booth by the British Council. Yes, what has the British Council got to do with Engineering? That's because the British Council is a charitable organization in which they promote further studying of students in UK. And Engineering is just one of the many ways the British Council is related, above giving English tuitions.
Ah ha, you learnt something, right? Me too.
Then they asked if we wanted some souvenirs that they gave out. In the end we took almost everything - from a beach mat to a notebook to wrist bands to a beach bag etc etc. Lol. They were like, "This is why we brought so many things here. To give them out!" and "If you want it, then just take it la. Don't be shy la. Come, come."
Gee. Haha. They are damn nice la. Then in the end, what we were looking forward was to take souvenirs only. Oops.
Then we have this bridge loading competition in which we would guess what is the maximum load that a bridge that the polytechnic students built can hold before it collapses. They made the bridge out of satay sticks, super glue and nylon strings. In the end, it held 23kg!!! Wow.
Then we went back home. Together, with the group by Kenneth in S12. Haha. Then one by one, we would say bye bye to each other... Woodlands is the last stop were all Innovians got off. Haha.
Fun day, =)
