I'm So Happy
Hmm. I don't really mean that I am happy literally. I just... felt happy when I knew that Mr. Eng had no reason to scold me, and that he wasn't scolding me. He was scolding the class, except for me.
That's because he can never scold me. No way, I won't let him have a chance to. I know the world is unfair, but I've invincible tactics to make it concede defeat to me.
He scolded us for assuming that we can hand in our Project Work (PW) on Friday, when we were to hand it in on Wednesday, 31/8/05. And that even though we assumed it to be the case, we didn't even hand it in on Friday.
Well, I handed in my work on Friday. I didn't assume. I bothered to call him up at 9 plus pm in the night on Monday to ask for his permission to extend the deadline for my PW group to hand in our WR (Written Report).
And I used my handphone to call him up, which costs a lot. In addition, I even kind of sweet-talked and persuaded and reasoned with him for quite some time before he relented and agreed to let me have the extension.
Therefore, when he was scolding us for being irresponsible, I looked at him in the eye to remind him of his granted extension to my PW group. Hence, he changed his words:
"There was only 1 group which called me up for an extension. However, you guys happily assumed..."
Whoa. I felt so happy. That's because I had dealt with him successfully. So his scolding wasn't aimed at, nor meant for me.
As IJC had left a period of time for each class to hold a class party, every class could bring food and drinks and celebrate with the form teacher in the class. However, as I said in my previous posts, he didn't come. I met him outside the staff room, and had asked him to explain his absence.
Hence, he scolded the class for not inviting him to the class party. He said that another class, whom he isn't in charge of, as he is in charge of MY CLASS, invited him instead.
Well, he was wrong then. He can't scold me again. Why? That was because I had bothered to ask him to explain for his absence (which he replied, "Was I supposed to be there?"), and it was me, the only person who asked him. The others? They didn't bother.
Therefore, once again, his scoldings didn't and shouldn't, aim at me. So, I looked at him in the eye to make him realise that.
I feel so happy. I am correct. I am never wrong. And I proved myself to be so.
Thus, my schoolbag has this keychain that reads, "It's Not My Fault. I'm Always Right."
And Aisha really, sincerely, seriously, totally agreed with the keychiain.
Her reaction? "It suits you perfectly. It's so true."
Haha. I'm BRILLIANT.
