E murder of Liu Hong Mei
LHM, is a quite popular gal on the headlines lately. She's none other than Liu Hong Mei
To say briefly, she was allegedly killed by a Singaporean guy. It's being speculated as either for love or money.
First of all, i shan't give a damn about her death, if not for the fact that it would be interesting to read about why and how she died. And most importantly, how did the SG police solve this murder.
Hoever, it can be seen rather clearly that the SG police hasn't made any great breakthroughs in their investigations, that the newspapers all started bullshitting about her likes, dislikes, personality and even composing poetic lines for her.
Ok, I don't know about the other papers, but the LianHe WanBao I've always liked started disappointing me. I saw this line: "hong mei yi diao xie, fang hun he chu xun" meaning that she (coincidentally, her name matches something close to a flower) has died, but where do one find her soul?
Look, she's already dead. I doubt she's a christian, so there's no need to praise her. Second thing, her death is nothing to rejoice about, so save those poetic lines. Thirdly, why waste time composing poetic lines for her if no one actually gives a damn about her death and that line? We just want the facts, and nothing more. Because she's nothing more than another victim of murder.
Coming to the part about the report, stating that she loved spicy and sour foods, i was like, save it. Who actually cares what her preferences were, now that she is dead and cannot eat anymore? And I absolutely feel that there is no need to add the sentence, all these characteristics of hers can only be kept in memory.
Look, there is this problem with the newspapers. The quality, which has been going down ever since, I don't feel like commenting. However, if you reporters out there has nothing in SG to write about, other than these tasteless headlines, then I suggest that you guys learn how to write out summaries so that you know which information is crap, which isn't, such that you make newspapers report only the important parts of life. I think all citizens of SG would very much appreciate it if you guys can cut down on crap stuff, thereby cutting down on the number of pages and amount of ink used, thereby and most importantly, cut down on newspaper cost. Look, you guys got to compromise on your budgets first before you make consumers compromise on the cost.
And... I don't think anyone would actually care about how her relatives are coming down to SG. And whether or not if anyone performed rituals for her. At least, now that much. Only KPO people would ask that. People like me, who request for efficiency, would only ask for essentials.
So, i beseech everyone, please, do not waste our resources doing all these crap stuff. Thanks lots.
See.. I'm now out of point. What I had actually wanted to say was that, the media, please stop reporting how nice a girl she was. Not that I am jealous of her giving ppl an impression that she is a nice girl, and that I probably don't, however, please think of this: If any girl is nice at all, genuinely nice, by hook or by crook, she would not have gotten into an affair with her superior and will not have gotten herself killed by anybody for anything. Get me???
Conclusion: Don't be deceived by looks. She is nice on the surface only. OK? So piss off somewhere and stop repeating how nice she was. Remember, she WAS. Fullstop.
